Meeting Minutes for December 4, 2024

Board Present: Dan McInerney, Dave Blocher, Laura Hayden, Jackin Jain, Jackson Skelly

Board Absent: None

Note: The Executive Board and General meetings were held via Zoom.

Meeting was called to order by Dan McInerney at 7:00 pm.

1) Treasurer's report: current bank balance is $4,683. Paid $160.00 zoom bill. Move to accept the treasurers report was done by Dan McInerney, and 2nd by Jackson Skelly. Motion passed by membership.

2) Dan McInerney discussed the following items:

a)     Rockford Airport Tour is on December 19th and 20th

•       Tour set for 9 AM to 3 PM

•       Deadline to sign up for this tour by December 17th at 8:00am

•       27 spots available for members including board members

•       Email to be sent to members for tour signup by Laura Hayden

•       Google form to be created for tour registration

•       Random selection process for participants if over-subscribed

•       Participants will be notified via email if they were selected for the tour by Dave Blocher

b) We will have three openings for the board including the position of President. Voting will be sent out shortly for each member to vote.

•       Mike Neben

•       Jeff DeWolf

3) Reminder that eveytime you plane spot, please wear your vest and bring you id. We had situation where security asked some members for ids. Everything was fine but if they you to leave for whatever reason, please do so.

4) Talked about ordering more vests and it will take about 5-6 weeks to receive.

5) Upcoming Events in aviation:

•       Gary Air Show with Air Force Thunderbirds August 9th-10th

•       Chicago Air and Water Show with Air Force Thunderbirds  August 16th and 17th

•       EAA Air Venture Oshkosh July 21st – 27th

5)     Next O’Hare Airport Watch members meeting is on Tuesday February 4, 2025 at 7:00pm CT.

6) Meeting was closed at 7:47pm.
