Meeting Minutes for October 2, 2024

Board Present: Dan McInerney, Dave Blocher, Laura Hayden, Jackin Jain, Jackson Skelly

Board Absent: None

Note: The Executive Board and General meetings were held via Zoom.

Meeting was called to order by Dan McInerney at 7:00 pm.

1) Treasurer's report: current bank balance is $4,120. Expense of $276 for Squarespace website.

2) Dan McInerney discussed the following items:

a) ORD Airport Tour Saturday October 12, 2024

• Tour set for 11 AM to 3 PM

• 46 spots available for members

• Email to be sent to members for tour signup by Laura Hayden

• Google form to be created for tour registration

• Deadline for signup: October 7th at 8 AM

• Random selection process for participants if over-subscribed

• Participants will be notified if they were selected for the tour by Dave Blocher

• Tour to include Northeast Cargo, Signature and Fire Station

• Members must be 18 years or older to attend.

b) We will have three openings for the board including the position of President.

• Dan will be stepping down at the end of December 2024. We will be conducting an election after the October cookout. More information to follow which we will be seeking members to join the board.

3) Membership Renewal and Website Update by Jackson Skelly

• New online system for applications, vest ordering, and membership renewal

• Members to create accounts on O'Hare Airport Watch website

• $20 two-year membership and renewals fee to be paid upfront electronically

• Credit Card or Apple Pay accepted for membership or renewal.

4) Upcoming Events in aviation:

• Rockford winter tour planned for week before Christmas (no age restriction)

• BBQ event scheduled for October 20th (Sunday) at 'South Hill'

• Potential new spotting location: Terminal 5 garage (to be investigated)

5) Next O’Hare Airport Watch members meeting is on Tuesday December 3, 2024 at 7:00pm CT

6) Meeting was closed at 7:54pm.
